1. How much does a scuba tank cost?

2. What valve should I get?
There are two ways to attach : a Yoke adapter or a DIN connection.

Yoke: You place it over the valve and screw it shut from behind.

DIN: It screws directly into the valve.

3. What is the lifespan of a tank?
Answer: With proper maintenance and without excessive use (such as daily rental use in a dive shop), a scuba tank can last 15 to 20 years.

4. How often does it need to be inspected?
Answer: In the USA, all tanks must undergo a visual inspection once a year and a hydrostatic inspection every 5 years. 

5. Are all tanks nitrox ready?
Answer: All tanks are serviced and ready to be used with all gas mixes. However, it is the valve on the tank that determines what exact mix or blend you can safely fill into it.

6. Do they come with a valve?
Answer: Tanks are usually produced as an empty shell. However, many suppliers offer the valve as a purchase add-on so they can be delivered together and ready to use. Always verify that your regulator clamp matches the tank valve.
