Ethylene Oxide Processing

Ethylene oxide (also known as EO or EtO) is a low temperature gaseous process widely used to sterilize a variety of healthcare products, such as single-use medical devices. Through the use of a vacuum-based process, EO sterilization can efficiently penetrate surfaces of most medical devices and its lower temperature makes it an ideal process for a wide variety of materials.

What is Ethylene Oxide Processing?

Ethylene oxide sterilization consists of four primary variables:

• Gas concentration
• Humidity
• Temperature
• Time

Application: Leather, paper, coins, scrap items and other goods; Transport warehouse, containers, stacking cargo space, medical equipment and empty tanks.

EO/ETO sterilant mixtured gas is a simple chemical compound that is commonly used for gaseous sterilization of disposable healthcare and Industrial products. A wide variety of materials and components commonly used in the manufacture of these products may undergo EO sterilization in their final breathable packaging configuration. It is use for to destroy microbial organisms like spore, virus, bacteria, fungi etc

EO/ ETO is the actual sterilant and carbon dioxide is used as a Carrier Gas or propellant in place of R22 or CFC-12 which is a class-I ozone depleting substance and use of Freon is banned as they are harmful to the environment

We provide pure EO and EO gas mixtured of different ratios from 10% to 90%, in 40L, 47L, 50L, 400L, 800L or 1000L cylinders.

What are the Benefits of Ethylene Oxide Processing?

• Materials sterilized with EO are not exposed to excessive heat, moisture, or radiation. Therefore, a wide variation of materials, particularly polymeric components commonly used in medical devices, can be sterilized with EO. Material compatibility is described in AAMI TIR 17 (compatibility of materials subject to sterilization).
• Products can be sterilized in their final packaging, since EO will permeate the sealed films and cartons used to package the device.

6. Q:Is it possible to ship by air?
A:Gases are classified into class 2.1, class 2.2 and class 2.3 which are inflammable gas, non-flammable gas and poisonous gas.    According to regulation, inflammable gas and poisonous gas cannot be shipped by air, and only non-flammable gas can be transported by air.    If the amount purchased is large, sea transportation is better.

7. Q:Can I customize the package?
A:Yes of course!    The most regular package is cylinder. Its size, color, valve, design and other requirements can all be met.

8. Q: What is the package & storage details?
A:Seamless steel cylinder with different valves, or as to your requirement.
